PRESENT developments The construction of a newnursery school inMonor began in 2021, for which the Municipality of the Town of Monor received a grant of HUF 400 million in a tender announced by the Ministry of Finance exceptionally for the settlements of Pest County. The sixgroup, 80-seat creche will operate as a member institution of the Virág Street nursery school. The construction is expected to be completed in October 2022. According to an earlier decision of the board of representatives, a kitchen will also be built in the new building, relieving the older institution. The new important investment will help the lives of families raising young children, thus contributing toMonor’s ability tomaintain public health and the future settlement of new families. The town’s kindergartens are also under continuous development and extension. Plans weremade in 2021 to extend the Napsugár Kindergarten, the construction of whichwill begin in 2022. In the kindergarten building on Jászai Mari Square an upper floor and new group rooms will be built in the course of the renovation, so the institutionwill be expanded to a total of eight groups. The whole lower floor will be rebuilt in order to fully comply with European Union regulations. In addition, a new playground will be set up opposite the kindergarten, giving children an even bigger play area. Renovation of public places is now in progress. Thanks to an ongoing tender, the surface of a number of suburban roads is expected to be put in order in the near future, and landscaping of the area around the popular excursion site, Strázsa Hill, will take place this year.
